REGISTRATION

Registration as a couple is recommended, separate forms MUST be filled for both partners. If you are accepted as a single participant, the organizers will assign a partner according to the dance level of the participants of each workshop or try to balance the leaders/followers’ ratio. 

The organizers will not be held responsible for your assigned partner, his/her level, or his/her attendance. Maestros may ask you to change partners during the workshops, depending on the subject and nature of the workshop. Partner assignment, however, is not guaranteed.

Participation  is restricted to applicants over the legal age of 18 years on the date of the event, in case of a minor, the written consent of the legal guardian will be necessary to complete the registration.

The number of participants might be limited at the organizers discretion, and a healthy ratio between followers and leaders will be maintained.

In case that the event has a limit on participants numbers and in case of the unavailability of places for the event due to exceeding this limit, or for other reasons related to the organization of the event, such as the disproportion between the number of leaders and followers , the participant might be refused or added in thewaiting list, if he/she so desires. 

Acceptance of participants depends on a number of factors including, but not limited to demographics, leader/follower ratio, and dancing level and skills. 

The organizers reserve the absolute right to accept or reject any application for participating in the event  (including festival, marathon, encuentro, meeting, congress, competition, lessons, milongas, parties, tours, or any other activity related to the event) at their sole discretion, without assigning any reasons thereof. 

Legal recourse in case of refusal is not permitted.

 

PAYMENT

All registrations must be paid as follows: at least 50% upon booking and remaining by 31st August 2024. Any unpaid registrations  after this date will potentially be cancelled.

The participant is obliged to pay the appropriate amount within the deadline specified in the e-mail, before the start of the Event, no later than 7 working days from the date of receipt of the confirmation e-mail.

If an application of intent to join the event as a couple is submitted, with payment made for only one of the individuals mentioned, the organizers reserve the right to deny participation to both individuals, even if one has made payment. The participation fee paid will be refunded to the specified bank account or same credit card used for the payment within 30 days deducting bank charges, if any.


CANCELLATION POLICY

·      Up to 31.01.2024          – Full refund

·      From 01.02.2024 to 29.02.2024 – 30% penalty

·      From 01.03.2024 to 07.03.2024 – 50% penalty

·      NO REFUNDS FOR CANCELLaTION AFTER 07.03.2024

Transfer of a registration is possible only with the prior written consent of the organizers and at least 14 days before the commencement of the event.

Should the event be cancelled or postponed due to FORCE MAJEUERE or any other reasons, your registration will be rolled to the next possible date. A full refund option might be offered depending on the situation.

 

FORCE MAJEUERE

If any event of, or any circumstance beyond the control of the organizers which  prevents the normal executions of the activities, partially or of the entire event organizers obligations under the agreement (a “Force Majeure Event”), organizers obligations to the participants may be partially or wholly suspended by the organizers and does not bear responsibility for any consequences.

 

In the case of such a Force Majeure Event, the organizers shall not be held responsible for any loss or damage suffered by any participants and the organizers shall not be liable to pay any compensation or refund to the participants. 

 

A Force Majeure event can include, but is not limited to epidemic, pandemic, typhoon, fire, flood, riot, earthquake, civil commotion, strike, labour disputes and disturbances, explosions, sabotage, accidents, war, act of terrorism, act of God, or any other element or event deemed to be out of the control of the organizers. 

 


RULES OF ADMISSION

Admission to the Event is granted only to a person in possession of a valid bracelet / wrist band, ticket or QR-code which will be given at the registration desk (or by email in case of the QR-code). Non-presentation by the participant, of the proof of participation, may result in refusal of admission to the Event.

All participants  must strictly adhere to the national health guidelines and follow the directives provided by the event organizers. Additionally, they are required to uphold cleanliness and hygiene standards, show respect towards the property of the organizers and the venue(s), and abide by the event regulations.

 

PARTICIPANTS BEHAVIOUR 

Participants at the Event shall behave in a responsible and safe manner at the event and on the hotel premises. 

The organizers will be entitled  not to accept or eliminate/expel  without refund from the event /venue(s) those participants that:

·      Do not comply with the rules.

·      Act in an illegal or irresponsible or unsafe manner and/or do not comply with any of event and venue/hotel policies and/or their instructions. 

·      Carry out, during the event, political or religious demonstrations (by any means) that may be offensive to the participants or the organization or affect the course of the event.

·      Commit any moral offense or improper act that tarnishes the image of the event

·      Do not follow the tango codigos and ethics.

·      Carry out, in the context of or during the event, inside and/or outside its facilities, any action of physical and/or verbal aggression against any person, whether participant, maestros, member of the jury or the staff, or public.

·      They have a known history of any of the above.

Only the Participant who, to the best of his knowledge, is not a person infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus, or any other contagious disease, is not in quarantine or under any kind of epidemiological supervision, is entitled to participate in the Event.

Attendees participate in festival events at their own risk. The organizers are not responsible for any loss or damage of property or illnesses or self injury to the participants during, before and after the event, in the event venue, or any other location, the participants are advised to take care of their own belongings and have personal insurances against all eventualities, the organizers do not cover any third-party insurances for the participants.

 

USE OF VENUE / HOTEL PREMISES 

The participant agrees and undertakes: 

 

·      Not to do or permit to be done anything during the event and/or the venue premises which is illegal or unlawful or which maybe or become a nuisance (whether actionable or not), annoyance, inconvenience or disturbance to the event or to any other customers of the venue, or any owner or occupier of neighbouring property.

·      to comply any instructions or notices from the venue.

·      not to cause any damage to the venue and/or hotel premises and property, including any furnishings, equipment, or fixtures at the venue(s) and hotel premises.

·      not to smoke (including e-cigarettes) anywhere in the venue(s) and other areas of the hotel where smoking is prohibited.

·      not to display any advertisement, signboards, flags, banners, placards, posters, flyers, signs, or notices at the venue(s) without the prior written consent of the organizers. 

·      not to alter, move or interfere with any lighting, heating, power, cabling or other electrical fittings or appliances at the venue(s) or hotel  premises, or install or use additional heating, power, cabling or other electronic fittings or appliances without the prior written consent of the organizers. 

·      to use any equipment provided by the hotel for its proper purpose and in accordance with any instructions provided by the hotel regarding its use. 

·      to leave the venue(s) in a clean and tidy condition.

·      to leave the relevant venue(s) by scheduled end of the event, except as otherwise agreed in writing by the hotel/organizers.

 

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS 

Photography and filming will be conducted by the organizers. By attending the festival, attendees’ consent to being photographed or filmed. The participants accept that the photographs and videos taken during the event will be shared on the social media networks, on the pages of the event and used for any promotion and/or promotional material of the event and agree they have no objection in this regard. Should any photograph or video infringe the privacy or sentiments of any participant, the same should be brought to the notice of the organizers with a formal request for removal citing such reasons.

Participants are not permitted to take personal photographs and/or videos in workshops (unless permitted by the maestros) and competitions. However, during milongas these permitted for personal and non-commercial use only. Please be respectful of others’ privacy when taking photos or videos.

All content on this website, associated social media accounts, emails, including but not limited to text, images, graphics, logos, videos, and audio clips, is the intellectual property of the event and is protected by copyright laws.

a) You may view, download, and print content from this website and our social media accounts for personal and non-commercial use only.

b) You may share our content on social media platforms, provided that you properly attribute the content to the official event name and do not alter, modify, or manipulate it in any way.

c) Commercial use, reproduction, distribution, or modification of any content on this website or our social media accounts without prior written permission from the organizers is prohibited.

Copyright Ownership: The organizers retain all rights, title, and interest in and to the content posted on this website, emails, printed material, and our social media accounts, including any derivative works created from such content.

Third-party Content: Certain content on this website and our social media accounts may include materials licensed from third parties. All such third-party content is used with permission and remains the intellectual property of its respective owners.

Reporting Copyright Infringement: If you believe that any content on this website or our social media accounts infringes upon your copyright, please contact us immediately with details of the infringing material. We will promptly investigate and take appropriate action in accordance with applicable copyright laws.

Changes to Copyright Notice: the organizers reserve the right to update or modify this copyright notice at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on this website and our social media accounts.

 

 

LIABILITY 

The participant shall be liable to the organizers/event and shall indemnify and keep indemnified the organizer against any damage, costs, loss, liability, or expense of any nature (including but not limited to consequences of loss and loss of profits) arising directly or indirectly out of, or otherwise in connection with, but not limited to: 

 

·      any breach of any terms and conditions 

·      any negligent act or omission committed by the participant or any member of its family.

The organizers will not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or pure economic loss, any loss of profit, goodwill, or opportunity or any other incidental, indirect, consequential, or special damages (whether caused by the organizers and/or venue of the event, its employees, maestros, or agent, or otherwise).  


EVENT CHANGES

The Event organizers has the right to modify the Event including timetable/schedule, performers, relocate the venue, maestros, alter the assigned instructors, adjust the event date, revise the event pricing, terms,conditions, policies and procedures without prior notice as deemed necessary. Any such modifications, whether communicated through the website, email, social media, or other means, prior to or during the event, shall be considered valid.

 

GDPR COMPLIANCE

Data Collection and Consent: By participating in our tango event, you consent to the collection and processing of your personal data in accordance with GDPR regulations. We collect only the necessary information required for event registration and communication purposes.

Data Security: We are committed to ensuring the security and confidentiality of your personal data. Measures are in place to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction of the information collected.

Any information containing personal data shall be handled in accordance with all applicable privacy laws and regulations, including without limitation the GDPR and equivalent laws and regulations. If for the performance of the project it is necessary to exchange personal data, the relevant parties shall determine their respective positions towards each other (either as controller, joint controllers, or processor) and the subsequent consequences and responsibilities according to the GDPR as soon as possible after the effective date and where required implement these in a separate written agreement.

Purpose of Data Collection:

Your data may be utilized for the following objectives:

a) Facilitating the organization of the event, such as sending confirmation emails, updates regarding your registration, and notifications regarding organizational changes for the event.

b) Providing you with informative emails about the location, including transportation tips and local guides.

c) Distributing emails or newsletters concerning organizers of other events and activities. Each correspondence includes an option for you to opt out of future communications.

d) Necessary for event-related purposes (e.g., sharing attendee lists with event partners, local or foreign entities like ministries, competition entities etc.)

Data Subject Rights: Under GDPR regulations, you have the right to access, rectify, or erase your personal data held by us. You may also request restriction of processing or object to the processing of your data. To exercise these rights, please contact us using the provided contact information.

Changes to Terms and Conditions: We reserve the right to update or modify these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated to participants via email or through our website, social media, or other means, prior to or during the event and shall be considered valid.

GOVERNING LAW

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Republic of CyprusAny disputes arising from these terms and conditions will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts inNicosia/Cyprus.


By applying, registering, purchasing any ticket, or attending as guest or with any other way to this event, attendees acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to abide by these terms and conditionsand or any other terms and conditions in these website, like competition rules etc. In case of conflict these terms and conditions are the one to be consider valid.

HOTEL CANCELLATION POLICY

1.Free cancellation up to one month prior to arrival.
2.Any cancellations made less than 20 days (1st of March 2024) prior of scheduled check-in are subject to a cancellation fee of 1 night.
3.Cancellation within one week prior to the arrival will be charged 100% of the total booking amount.
4.Cancellation fees will be charged to the individual credit card.
